165 companies henceforth licensed

With 23 new licenses issued by Bahrain Monetary Agency (BMA), the number of authorized financial institutions has, henceforth, risen to 367, 165 of which are insurance companies since the end of the year 2004. BMA is planning to implement new legal provisions to regulate and promote a sector whose expansion is in full swing.
